Direction in Japanese

Direction in Japanese is ほうこう (houkou) – 方向. Today we will learn about how to say directions in Japanese.

Right = みぎ (migi) – 右
Left = ひだり (hidari) – 左
Straight = まっすぐ (massugu) – 真直
In front of = まえ (mae) – 前
Back or Behind = うしろ (ushiro) – 後ろ
Up = うえ (ue) – 上
Down = した (shita) – 下
Corner = かど (kado) – 角
